I learned this equation from a sixth grade class that told it to a famous visitor. Actually, they added another factor, Good Teachers x Good Curriculum x Good Kids, but I believe that good teachers and good curriculum produce good kids.

As the New York City Department of Education returns to direct, explicit instruction in basic decoding skills, they are recommending three programs: Fundations (Wilson Reading System), PAF (Preventing Academic Failure) or Really Great Reading.

A description of Really Great Reading is below, with links to its different programs. The June Fundations workshops have already started. Please check the Wilson Reading System website for future events. You still have time for the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education (IMSE). IMSE courses are a deep dive into phonics instruction, which will prepare you to teach any program.
