ZOOMIE BABY CLASS
ZoomieBaby is a 4-week “baby and me” class that builds community and offers guided support while teaching parents about early speech, language, and feeding development. Brain-based language and learning stimulation strategies are presented in a 45-minute group session. Each class ends with activity demonstrations and a summary handout with links to resources. This class will help new Pandemic Parents build a supportive community while learning how to nurture their baby for optimal language, learning, and growth in these difficult times.

Classes enrollment should be limited to 5 for each group of 0-6mos baby parents, and 7-12mos baby parents.
Course topics for each age group are below.

Our Coach Dr. Melissa
Dr. Melissa, PhD, CCC-SLP is a speech-language pathologist, cognitive neuroscientist, and mom. She is Assistant Professor of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Adelphi University where she directs the Neurocognition of Communication Disorders Lab. Melissa received her PhD from Columbia University and has worked as a licensed speech-language pathologist for over ten years, specializing in pediatric speech sound disorders and language development. Melissa is truly passionate about sharing her knowledge with other parents and building supportive communities of parents.
