Our experience with Theo was terrific. Theo was great with my son. He developed a positive relationship with him based on sincerity, respect, trust and a deep personal connection. In their lessons, Theo was encouraging, creative and kind. … More He helped our son understand how to differentiate the sounds he made when he spoke, and gave him great exercises to practice every week between lessons. Our son was sorry to have the lessons come to an end, but recognized that Theo had helped him as much as possible and it was time for him to stop. Theo explained to him (and us) how to keep working to get the last 5%, and encouraged him to keep working on the exercises on his own. I have recommended Theo to another parent who noticed my son's improvement and inquired for her own son.

Lindsay
Dual Masters Degree in Childhood Education and Special Education
Lindsay is a dedicated and compassionate elementary Learning Specialist and Literacy Coach with over 12 years of experience teaching students in both public and private school settings across NYC. With a genuine passion for helping students with diverse learning needs, Lindsay has honed her expertise in providing specialized instruction and support to students who require additional assistance in developing their literacy skills.
Since earning a dual Masters Degree in Childhood Education and Special Education from New York University, Lindsay has taught students with a range of abilities and learning challenges. This includes students with dyslexia, speech and language impairments, ADD/ADHD, autism spectrum disorders andexecutive functioning difficulties, as well as students without disabilities.
Lindsay firmly believes every child can learn and excel when given the appropriate tools and strategies to support their specific learning style. She understands that confidence and motivation play a pivotal role in the learning process, which is why she delivers instruction in a fun, multi-sensory way to allow for optimal engagement and growth. She focuses on building a strong connection with the student from the start, and providing an encouraging and nurturing environment where students feel comfortable to take risks and overcome obstacles.
Currently, Lindsay serves as the elementary Learning Specialist and Literacy Coach at a private school. She provides supportive literacy instruction to students in Kindergarten through Fifth Grade. This includes providing evidence-based strategies to improve phonemic awareness, phonics, decoding, spelling, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension skills. She is trained in Wilson/Fundations, Orton-Gillingham, and Judith Hochman’s Teaching Basic Writing skills. Lindsay also provides instructional coaching to teachers around the current best-practices in literacy instruction and collaborates closely with families to support them through the special education process.
Outside of teaching, Lindsay is a mother of two young girls and a fur baby Golden-doodle. She enjoys spending time going on nature walks with her family, soaking up sun at the beach, playing tennis, and practicing yoga.
