Bergen County Speech Language Therapist
Speech and language pathologists, or SLPs, assess, diagnose and treat a wide range of speech-language disorders. They conduct individual therapy sessions and provide information for families and the general public in workshops and lectures.
Our Bergen County speech language therapist will work with you to identify the communication problem and discuss how it can be treated. We treat babies, toddlers, school-age students, and adults. Speech therapy may be done in a classroom, small group, or one-on-one setting. The exercises and activities will depend on your child’s age and condition.
We work with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers—all through adults—who need help with articulation (speech), enunciation (pronouncing words correctly), accent reduction, stuttering treatment, and prevention. We also assist with reading/writing skills and language-related issues such as expressive and receptive language disorders.
Adult speech therapy can begin with an evaluation to identify a person’s communication needs and determine the best treatment options.
